This
is my first review ever and maybe some of you will miss parts
about Framerates etc., but I didn't want to write about stuff
I'm not really accustomed with. The German Airport 1st Edition
2001 pack comes along with 2 CDs (one for FS98/2000 and one
update disk for FS2002) and 2 thick paper manuals. The first
one is about installation and consists General Information about
the included airports. In the second manual you find Jeppesen
Charts for all airports, with Terminal Charts, approach plates,
SIDs and Stars.
Aerosoft promotes German Airports 1 as a package that offers
"8 highly detailed south German airports". And what
can I say? That's ture! Every airport (Dresden, Augsburg, Stuttgart,
Friedrichshafen, Nurnberg, Egelsbach, Bayreuth and Munich along
with two "Bonus Aiports" which are Innsbruck (AT)
and Altenrhein (CH)) offers great details like excact Terminals,
Gangways, service vehicles, holding markers, taxiway signs etc.
Every airport also offers static airplanes with changing liveries
and moving ground service vehicles. Aersoft says in the Manual
that there are no dynamic airplanes included, so the Framerates
will be acceptable.
Munich Airport
Munich
Airport
The
most detailed airport of all is Munich. What I like most is
the "Savegate" Docking Bridge System Aerosoft added.
The Bridge recognizes the airplane by the set COM frequency
and places the bridge at the right point on your aircraft.
But besides that the programmers also added the EL AL 767
standing at the security terminal, surrounded by police cars
or the motorway leading torwards the Terminal, or the Cargo
ramps among other areas.
Well,
what can I say about it now? Again, Aerosoft made an simply
great add-on. The 2001 Edition of German Airports is even
better than the old one, though that is hard to believe. For
ca. 45 € you get a very, very detailed scenery add-on
that offers easy installation, great realism and astomishing
night light effects. I doubt anyone will ever regret buying
this product from Aerosoft.
