It has been a while since our last issue, February 2001.
Although we intended to publish the magazine on a monthly
basis, it has been a difficult task, considering how busy
we have been with real life commitments and other priorities
at Eurostar Aviation. From this issue onwards, the magazine
will be published on a quarterly basis, with more extensive
coverage of our virtual airline and the flight simulation
hobby in general.
Following the busy summer season of 2001, the management has
been concentrating on the development of Pegasus, our new
online and automated operations system. Unfortunately, the
development team has had some periods of inactivity during
2001 due to real life commitments. The project implementation
is on track, with launch scheduled for 18 March, 2002.
We
are currently absorbing Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002. The
general
reaction of the fligth simulation community has been positive,
with the gradual introduction of FS2002 models expected to start
very shortly.
Stephen Cooke, our new Chairman, discusses Eurostar Aviation's
first-ever presence at the 8th annual European Flight Simulation
exhibition in Birmingham, UK. Also, Steve presents his first
review ever, of Aerosoft's German Airports, 1st edition.
Finally,
Mark Krasilovsky concludes this edition of Echo Sierra Alpha
with an update on the Eurostar Ownership Scheme project.
The
Announcements column of Echo Sierra Alpha is totally accessible
to pilots who wish to contribute such material as photos (either
FS or personal), link suggestions, files, etc.
